Thursday

Boston College at Wake Forest, 5:30 p.m. EST, ESPN

The first of many game son here that have the incoming hurricane to worry about, Boston College and Wake Forest are hoping to get this game in before any serious weather starts to hit the east coast. While the hurricane isn’t expected to start in earnest by Thursday, this could still be a super sloppy, grind it out kind of game. Luckily, both teams are more than capable of running.

One sentence sell: BC running back AJ Dillon and Wake Forest wide receiver Greg Dortch are both extremely fun to watch, and worth your time on a Thursday evening.

Friday

Georgia State at Memphis, 7:00 p.m. EST, ESPN

I don’t think Georgia State is any good, but this could be entertaining just as a “hey look at what Memphis can do on offense” type of game. After a close loss to Navy last week, Memphis will be looking to bounce back, and their offense seems to be the best it has ever been under Mike Norvell. That could mean a super high score against a pretty bad defense.

One sentence sell: If you’re looking for college football to watch on Friday, you could make worse choices than spending a couple of hours with Brady White and big-play machine Darrell Henderson.
