2. Dwayne Haskins scores five total touchdowns

If you had a Heisman Trophy vote would you vote for Dwayne Haskins or Trace McSorley? That is one of the top questions heading into Week 3 as both quarterbacks have lit up opposing defenses so far. The showdown in the last week of September will be one of the best head-to-head quarterback battles of the year.

Haskins has been phenomenal in his first two starts and will look to continue that trend against TCU.

He has 9 touchdowns through the air and has only turned the ball over 1 time. Now we know that Oregon State and Rutgers don’t have All-American talent on either defense but he isn’t playing as poorly as other Power 5 quarterbacks against weaker competition.

TCU is only giving up 106 yards per game through the air per contest which is an unbelievable number. SMU has one of the best passing attacks in the American Athletic Conference and they simply could not move the ball against TCU scoring just 12 points.

Haskins needs to have a great game and the receivers will need to get open on deep passes. They have been playing consistently so far and I expect Haskins to have another great game and stay in the Heisman discussion.
