1. Scott Frost gets his first win as a Cornhusker

This probably would’ve already happened in weather hadn’t cancelled Nebraska’s opener against Akron and Frost came oh so close against Colorado last week but this will be the week that Frost and Nebraska get on the board, despite uncertainty surrounding Martinez’s status.

Troy presents a challenge and will keep the game close for awhile, buoyed by an excellent coaching staff that has won 22 games in the last two years. However, the loss of quarterback Brandon Silvers and several offensive line starters is likely going to cause a regression for the Trojans.

Frost engineered a stark turnaround at UCF and expecting him to quickly lead the Cornhuskers to any semblance of that sort of success in the first year may be unfair. But in game two against a completely overmatched Troy team, Frost shouldn’t have to worry. The key will be the play of Bunch along with the defense continuing its success.
