2. Jarrett Stidham threw the game away, then almost won it

When the Auburn offense took the field for their first drive, it was an opportunity to make a statement against a Tigers defense known for its speed and tenacity.

However, the drive couldn’t end much worse as Jarrett Stidham threw an interception that could have been avoided with help from his receiver. Should he have made the throw? You can question his decision, but after looking at the replay it was clear that the safety had an easy path to the ball.

After throwing his first interception it seemed like the Auburn offense simply couldn’t get into a rhythm. Stidham’s final stat line was subpar at best, as he finished 16 for 28 with 198 yards, one touchdown, and threw two interceptions.

Should Auburn fans be worried? The last time Stidham played this poorly Auburn went on a tear and was able to beat both Alabama and Georgia in a span of three weeks. If this is Stidham’s poor performance of the year, the Tigers can stay in the SEC title picture if he gets back to his usual level of play.
