Murray has put up excellent numbers to start the season and sees himself at the number five spot on our list. Oklahoma’s offense has looked very good under Baker Mayfield‘s successor. Can Oklahoma have back to back Heisman winners?

Murray put up 306 yards and three touchdowns in a win against UCLA in Week 2, and then followed it up with a 348 yard, three touchdown performance against Iowa State.

He showed up in a big game for the Sooners who were looking for revenge after being beaten at home by the Cyclones last season.

If Kyler Murray is going to win the Heisman he will need to lead Oklahoma to the playoffs and continue to have games like this one. The next game for the Sooners is the Army Black Knights, and if he doesn’t throw for at least three more touchdown passes it may be because the offense is already up by 40 points in the third quarter.

Expect an excellent game against the former 5-star recruit.
