3. Slow starts could doom the Aggies in SEC play.

The last two weeks, the Aggies have started slow. It may not have doomed them in either game, even though they are 1-1 in those two, but it didn’t serve them well either.

Against Clemson, it was mainly offensive against Clemson, as the defense played well enough to keep the game with reaching distance for Kellen Mond and his offense. Against ULM, it was both sides of the ball- the defense more so than the offense. They allowed the Warhawks to gash for big plays routinely in the first half. They won big, but only because of how weak the Warhawks are in comparison.

These slow starts are not good, at all. This team has to go to Alabama next week- the team that has killed anyone they have faced off against so far this season. Starting slow, on either side of the ball, will be detrimental to their chances to win; chances that are already slim as it is.

They also have to play Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State. Starting slowly against any of those teams could be a disaster for sure. It may not hurt you too much against the likes of Arkansas, but anyone else in the West- yikes.
