Running Backs/Wide Receivers

Marcelias Sutton, RB, Oklahoma

Oklahoma’s rushing attack is spread out between many players. Trey Sermon is the starting back after Rodney Anderson’s season-ending injury, and quarterback Kyler Murray leads the team in rushing yards.

Sutton is the backup running back for the Sooners, but he has a leg injury that leave his status as questionable for their game against Army. Oklahoma should beat Army easily, so they should rest him this weekend if he is even slightly injured or has a chance to make the injury worse.

Karan Higdon, RB, Michigan

Higdon did not play last weekend against SMU, but he will play this weekend against Nebraska. His backup Chris Evans had a heavy workload against SMU and suffered a leg injury in the fourth quarter of the game. He is probable to play though this weekend.

In just two games, Higdon already has 228 rushing yards and two touchdowns. If he can fully recover from this lower-body injury and stay healthy for the remainder of the season, then he is on track to surpass the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career.

Ahmmon Richards, WR, Miami

Richards is another player that will be back this weekend after not playing last week. He has sat out the last two games due to a knee injury.

He has only one reception for nine yards from Week 1. Miami is currently 2-1 and has a relatively easy schedule other Boston College and Virginia Tech later in the season.
