Trace McSorley continues to impress early this season. The Penn State offense was humming like a well-oiled machine in the second half with McSorley leading it.

While he only threw 19 passes, completing 12 of them, McSorley made the most of it with three of his completions being touchdowns. He also carried the ball 15 times for 94 yards. It was the first game this year he did not find the end zone on the ground, but it did not matter on this night.

It was shaky in the first half, but the Lion offense really got things going in the second half. With six second half possessions, the Lions scored touchdowns on all six of them. On the year, Penn State has 22 redzone attempts and 21 of them have ended in touchdowns.

McSorley is the unquestioned leader of the offense. With the struggles Penn State faces on defense, they will go as far as the offense will take them this year. As long as McSorley is helming the ship, the Lions should be able to score a lot of points and keep up with any team remaining on their schedule.
