Urban is back!

Urban Meyer’s return to the sideline went just as you expected it to. Ohio State fans welcomed him with cheers and open arms. As for the Buckeyes performance on the field, well that went just as smoothly. Ohio State welcomed Tulane in a non-conference matchup and had no issues.

The Buckeyes beat Tulane badly, 49-6. Tulane scored a touchdown in the beginning of the second quarter, but had the point after attempt blocked by an Ohio State defender. Quarterback, Dwayne Haskins, improved on his Heisman resumé with an 88 percent completion rate for 304 yards and five passing touchdowns.

Although they were playing a struggling Tulane team, Ohio State’s defense appeared to have improved with the return of Urban Meyer. However, the Buckeyes still were unable to force any turnovers against the Tulane Green Wave. Ohio State will want to continue to improve on their defense as they gear up to face tough Big Ten opponents.

Next week, Ohio State head to State College to take on No. 9 Penn State. The Buckeyes have not scored less than 40 points this a game this season. This scoring spree will likely end next week, but Ohio State will have an opportunity to establish themselves atop the Big Ten.
