College Football Playoff 2018: Projected top 4 after Week 4
Georgia Defense Stops Drew Lock
The Georgia Bulldogs traveled to Missouri in their second conference road game. In their first, the Bulldogs dominated South Carolina, 41-17. This Week 4 game had a similar outcome.
Georgia got out to an early lead after the defense forced a fumble and recovered the ball for a touchdown. The Georgia defense forced a total of three turnovers, two fumbles and one interception. The Bulldogs’ defensive dominance was highlighted against one of the best quarterbacks in the country, Drew Lock.
On offense, the Bulldogs employed a strong balanced offense, rushing for a total of 185 yards and passing for 260 yards. To note, Jake Fromm accounted for all of Georgia’s passing yards. Elijah Holyfield and D’Andre swift split the majority of the carries, 14 and 16 respectively.
Georgia still has a few weeks before they start to face some of the tougher SEC opponents. Coach Kirby Smart will continue to prepare his team as best as possible while still attempting to keep everyone healthy and rested for late-season games.
