3. Trevon Raphael, WR, 3-star

What would West Virginia football be without exceptional play at the wide receiver position? Trevon Raphael could be next if he were to commit to the Mountaineers.

With scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Iowa State, Maryland, Michigan, and Missouri, it’s possible WVU misses out on the three-star product from Ohio. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, Raphael could emerge as a tight end if things get crowded at wide receiver.

His versatility is evident, even if his talents aren’t utilized properly. He’s seen taking jet sweeps in his highlight tapes — which is where Tavon Austin used to cause a bunch of damage (No, I’m not comparing Raphael to one of the greatest Mountaineers of all-time in Austin).

Through three games, three WVU wide receivers have caught 15 passes for more than 240 yards. Seven different Mountaineers have receiving touchdowns, including JUCO transfer Dominique Maiden. Raphael might be just another guy if he chooses WVU, but why wouldn’t you want to be one of those guys?
