Clemson Football: 5 transfer destinations for Kelly Bryant
By Dana Becker
4. Georgia Tech
Another of those schools that showed serious interest in Bryant out of high school was Georgia Tech and Paul Johnson, who likely envisioned him being a tremendous athlete to run the triple-option.
Bryant showed his speed last year carrying the football, making several big plays when Clemson needed them the most. Would he be content with almost solely rushing the ball in hopes of playing in the NFL someday? That is a legitimate question he’d have to ask himself about considering to Georgia Tech.
How about seeing Bryant line up against the Tiger defense next year for an ACC rival? That would surely ruffle some feathers in Death Valley.
But the coaching staff has been nothing but behind Bryant for two years, so if the person – speaking of Bryant here – wanted it, my guess is Clemson would sign off with approval.
TaQuon Marshall is a senior this year with redshirt freshman Tobias Oliver sitting behind him on the depth chart. It doesn’t appear as if Johnson is going anywhere, so this could definitely be a potential sign-and-start landing spot for KB2.
