Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic – Clemson Tigers vs Ohio State Buckeyes

Nothing has changed for this matchup but with the Ohio State Buckeyes’ game against Penn State this weekend, we could see a new face next week. But for the meantime, this well-balanced team looks unstoppable and remains as the two seed in our projections.

A standout of the Buckeye’s season is quarterback Dwayne Haskins who has stepped into the starting role and hasn’t shown any sign of letting up. Haskins is a front-runner for the Heisman, and who knows, maybe he’s the best quarterback to ever wear the scarlet and gray.

On the other side of this matchup, the Clemson Tigers have finally settled on their quarterback for the rest of the season. Freshman phenom, Trevor Lawrence has been given the nod to lead the Tigers for the remainder of the season. Some believe that this decision should have already taken place but nonetheless, Clemson has their guy.

The Tigers don’t face any real tests until the ACC Championship game. Teams like Duke, NC State, Boston College and South Carolina still remain on their schedule but none of those teams pose any threat to the Tigers. A spot in the playoff is imminent, and theirs to lose.
