Texas A&M Football: 3 bold predictions for Arkansas rivalry in Week 5
By Shelbie Warr
The Southwest Classic returns to AT&T Stadium as Texas A&M football face off against Arkansas. Let’s talk bold predictions y’all.
This game has become a favorite for Aggie fans around the nation since joining the SEC in 2012. I can’t say the same for Arkansas fans, not because I am not one, but because they have yet to win this matchup and at this point it doesn’t seem like that is changing anytime soon.
A&M is out of acceptable losses as they finish off one of the most challenging month’s of college football ever- facing off against Alabama and Clemson within the first four weeks. Now, they take on a struggling Arkansas team coming off a three game losing streak that includes losses to Colorado State and North Texas. The third is to Auburn, but that isn’t shocking at all. The other two, well at this point it is better for the Razorbacks faithful to just act like they didn’t happen.
The Aggies are rolling with Kellen Mond, for obvious reasons. On the other side, the quarterback question isn’t as clearly answered. Right now, it seems that new head coach Chad Morris is rolling with Ty Storey after benching Cole Kelley. Who knows if that choice will last for the rest of the season or not, but for now it seems to be Storey’s team.
Now, let’s get bold before Arkansas finds someway to lose to another non-Power Five team.
