College Football Hot Seat 2018: 5 coaches who must win in Week 5
By Shelbie Warr
In sports, there are two types of teams: those with the right coach and those with the wrong one. Which college football coaches must win this week?
So far this season there is Alabama then there are the other contenders and there is everyone else in the league. However, there is a serious group of teams who could be in the contender category if they had the right coach at the helm of their program.
Before we get to the five coaches that really have to win to keep their spot, let’s talk about those who have earned the worst kind of honorable mention.
We start with Tom Herman, the head coach of the Texas Longhorns. This team has beat USC and TCU in the past few weeks. Now, they take on Kansas State. That is a team that the Longhorns have to beat and they have to do so handily. If you are going to take down the Horned Frogs and the Trojans, the Kansas State Wildcats should be nothing hard.
Next is Mississippi State head coach Joe Moorhead. The Bulldogs got smacked around by Benny Snell and the Kentucky Wildcats a week ago.
This week, they take on the Florida Gators led by their former head coach Dan Mullen. That is a game that Moorhead has to win, especially as they are playing host to the Gators. The fans will not be happy if they have to leave this one as losers.
