1. Florida State wins by two touchdowns

Oddshark tabs Florida State as a 6.5 point favorite over Louisville. On one hand, the fact that a team that had to battle for wins over Samford and Northern Illinois being favored at all is incredible. On the other, Louisville could be historically bad. It wasn’t that long ago that these were two national powers, not they’re both rebuilding, but one has blue-chip recruits and the other one doesn’t.

That will be the factor that tips the scales on Saturday. Louisville could have all the passion in the world, but Florida State’s roster is better from top to bottom. It would take a Virginia Tech style meltdown for the Seminoles to bungle their game against the Cardinals, and even if they do, winning outright should still be well within the realm of possibility.

Florida State has a lot of work to do, but the S.O.S. signal will continue to dim as they approach that six-win plateau and position themselves for a bowl game. Blowing their consecutive bowl streak would be more painful than their rival Florida’s inexplicable loss to Kentucky.
