Penn State football‘s white out games are some of the greatest traditions in college football. Which of those special games was the best?

Penn State’s White Out started in 2004, limited to the student section only. Student-run marketing helped spread the word to wear white for that first edition. Even though Penn State would lose to Purdue, the student White Out was considered a success. For the 2007 game versus Notre Dame, it was declared a full stadium White Out and each year since there has been one game on the schedule designated as such.

Penn State does not always have success when it comes to White Outs. They are 7-7 in such games. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is one of the best in college football. It is also a huge recruiting weekend and a positive experience for recruits and their families. I have been to five White Out games and there is nothing like it. Even if you are not a Penn State fan, it is well worth the experience.

With another White Out game against Ohio State looming, here are the top three Penn State White Out games of all-time.
