1. Syracuse will make noise in the ACC

Even when Trevor Lawrence was in the game, it wasn’t a guarantee that Clemson would eventually win the game. The defense created pressure on Lawrence and didn’t give him much time to throw, and the offensive line was doing enough to help Dungey extend plays.

You could tell that Syracuse wasn’t going to settle for a moral victory, and went for it twice on fourth down as they were holding onto the lead late in the game.

The first was a successful gamble, and the second could have won the game for the Orange if it wasn’t called back due to an ineligible lineman down the field (the jump pass even caught me by surprise).

Although they needed a few breaks to score their touchdowns, the offense never looked out of sync, even while struggling at times.

How good can this Syracuse team be? They gave the king of the conference their best shot, and with a trip to Pittsburgh on the schedule next week, this is still a team that could make noise in the conference title race.
