player. 13. . QB. West Virginia. Will Grier. 24

Just like Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers of the Los Angeles Chargers will also have to retire at some point. Impressively, Rivers has been able to stay healthy and consistently put up big numbers. However, at the age of 36, Rivers has only a few more years left in him.

The Chargers current backup for Philip Rivers is Cardale Jones. Just like DeShone Kizer in Green Bay, that’s not going to cut it. And behind him is Geno Smith, which we know isn’t a viable option. Okay maybe Cardale has some potential, but the Chargers aren’t going to want to put the entire franchise in an unproven quarterback’s hands.

And that is exactly why they are going to draft a quarterback…so that they will have two unproven NFL quarterbacks. So in case one fails, they can give a shot to the other. After Drew Lock and Justin Herbert, Will Grier is the next best quarterback available.

Although his build is not incredibly impressive for a NFL quarterback, his number are simply awesome. While at Florida as a freshman, Grier threw for 10 touchdowns and only three interceptions in six games. After a year off, he continued to put up big numbers at West Virgnia, completing 65 percent of his passes for nearly 3,500 yards and 34 touchdowns

So far this year, Grier has completed an outstanding, 75 percent of his passes for 14 touchdowns and three interceptions. Grier will be a contender for the Heisman trophy and could potentially turn into a Drew Brees type quarterback in the NFL.
