WR. Ole Miss. A. J. Brown. 7. player. 53.

There’s no doubt that Ole Miss junior, AJ Brown, is the top wide receiver in this year’s NFL Draft. Brown hauled in a massive, 75 catches last year for 1,252 yards and 11 touchdowns. Brown is of relatively average size, weighing in just over 200 pounds and 6-feet even. However, his ability to gain separation from defenders, coupled with great speed, makes him both a capable possession receiver as well as a credible deep threat.

Who better to draft Brown than the Cleveland Browns. After the departure of Josh Gordan, there is a legitimate opening for a quality young wide receiver to come in for a much less expensive price tag than other options.

Developing Baker Mayfield into the star the Browns hope to make him will be impossible if he is not surrounded by a high level of talent. Jarvis Landry will be able to mentor AJ Brown in his first few years and help leave Cleveland in good hands…get it? Because he’s a receiver?
