Once again, Texas A&M football and Arkansas gave their fan bases a heart attack from the first snap. The Aggies showed us a lot, so let’s talk overreactions.

Unlike many thought, this one came down to the wire. I can tell you right now that Aggie fans were not happy at the closeness of this game, me included. A lot happened here, from questionable calls to angry coaches and everything in between. We learned a lot about both teams as they both head into big time Week 6 matchups.

The Razorbacks will face off against Alabama at 12 p.m. ET, looking to not lose to badly against a team as good as the Tide. The Aggies are hosting a surging Kentucky Wildcats team on a Saturday night in Kyle Field, looking to stay above .500 on the season by the halfway point.

A few months ago, as an Aggie fan, I wouldn’t be worried about Kentucky. However, now they are showing that the Wildcats are about more than basketball. However, before we start talking about Kentucky, let’s talk about the Aggies and what happened against Arkansas.

5. The internet needs to chill out, Jimbo Fisher isn’t “abusive”

During the game, there was a moment where fans were holding their breath as it seemed like there may be a brawl of sorts breaking out on the field below. However, Aggie head coach Jimbo Fisher shut that down really quick — in a way that has the internet up in arms. What happened you ask? A video is shown below.

Basically, junior linebacker and captain Tyrel Dodson got mouthy and emotional. Jimbo Fisher was having none of it and grabbed him by the face mask to tell him just what needed to happen here. This move has the college football world split right down the middle. Half are thankful that the Aggies have a head coach that isn’t letting the players walk all over him. The other half are calling this an abusive move by the new skipper of Texas A&M Football.

Most important though, is the player’s reaction. His response from Twitter said “Coach Fisher is an amazing coach, he did the right thing. I let my emotions get the best of me at that certain moment. My teammates and this University needs me. That’s why he was so upset! He’ll have my back no matter what.”

If that doesn’t tell you enough, I don’t know what will. Chill out. Jimbo Fisher isn’t hurting his players. He is taking care of his team and making sure they are focused on the ultimate goal.
