2. Antoine Wesley, Wide Receiver

The Red Raider offense was a bit shorthanded Saturday, with star wide receiver T.J. Vasher missing the game entirely and starting quarterback Bowman leaving with an injury. It didn’t change the gameplan, though.

Wide receiver Antoine Wesley became the go-to target, as he tallied eight receptions on his way to 110 yards and a touchdown. His most-impressive catch came down the sideline after a WVU defender tipped a pass. Wesley had the focus and athletic ability to corral it as he was falling to the ground.

His performance alone wasn’t enough to push the Red Raiders past the visiting Mountaineers, but scoring Tech’s only first-half touchdown gave them some confidence early.

Wesley’s been a solid target for every Red Raider quarterback this season, catching 38 passes for 621 yards and five scores. Regardless of who starts in the future, expect Wesley to continue producing.
