College Football Playoff 2018: Irish force way into picture post-Week 5
Too Good not to be Number 1
The average score of a game for the Alabama Crimson Tide this year is 55-13. Alabama averages winning every game by over 40 points. The Crimson Tide could only play offense in the first quarter and still win every game so far this season.
To continue on how good Alabama is, their starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, completed 100 percent of his passes in Week 5, including two touchdowns. By the fourth quarter in their game against Louisiana, they were up 56-0.
In the next three weeks, Alabama plays at Arkansas, home against Missouri, then at Tennessee. None of these games will give Alabama any issues. Missouri would have had a fighting chance to keep the game close if they were home. But in Alabama, it’s going to be a bad day for Mizzou quarterback, Drew Lock.
Despite the continued blowout games, Nick Saban is going to keep pushing his team hard to prepare for future games against much better opponents.
