Since a season-opening loss to Auburn, Washington has reeled off four consecutive wins, pushing them to No. 1 in the Pac-12 football power rankings.

Stanford, which had held that spot for the past few weeks, was unable to score a key Top-10 victory when they fell to Notre Dame this past Saturday. While the loss doesn’t hurt the chances for the Cardinal in the league, it does hinder their abilities when it comes to the College Football Playoff.

In two marquee matchups of highly-ranked teams, the conference is now 0-2 with Auburn and Notre Dame besting Washington and Stanford. The Pac-12 doesn’t get many chances to prove their worth, so these were pivotal losses by the Huskies and Cardinal.

Washington also stepped out of league play, earning a home win over BYU in a ranked clash. For the rest of the Pac-12, it was business as usual, with Oregon, Washington State, Arizona State and USC all earning conference victories.

Five games pitting league foe vs. league foe are on the docket for this coming Saturday, with Oregon and USC taking the week off.

Here’s a look at the latest power rankings in the Pac-12:
