Miami went into Week 5 looking to make a statement on Thursday night, and they easily dispatched the Tar Heels 47-10. The defense played an outstanding game, forcing six turnovers (three returned for touchdowns). They sacked the Tar Heels quarterbacks three times and racked up 14 tackles for a loss. The rivalry game against FSU will show how focused the Hurricanes can be against a talented opponent, and they will look to make a claim as the best team in the ACC.

The injury to Trevor Lawrence wasn’t the only story of this game. The defensive line wasn’t able to get much pressure on Eric Dungey, and if a Syracuse lineman hadn’t traveled too far down the field on the fourth down jump pass play call, we could be looking at a Clemson loss. Travis Etienne saved the Tigers season with a clutch running performance, as he ran for 203 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner shown above.

Depending on the severity of Lawrence’s injury he may not be available for the Week 6 game against Wake Forest. If Chase Brice get’s the nod the Tigers should still come away with an easy victory.
