3. The West Virginia game will be close

Baylor and West Virginia always have weird games. 2012 was the infamous 70-63 shootout. Baylor blew West Virginia out in 2013 but the Mountaineers outscored Baylor 21-7 in fourth quarter. In 2017 West Virginia jumped out to a 38-13 lead before Charlie Brewer mounted a furious comeback to end up losing 38-36.

Expect more craziness in 2018 especially with the game being on a Thursday night in Morgantown. I do not expect Baylor to win but you never know what’s going to happen when these two teams match up. This year  Baylor will be improved and Charlie Brewer will not be coming off the bench but be the starter from the beginning of the game.

West Virginia has a great offense coming in at No. 5 in S&P+ and it will definitely be a challenge for the Baylor defense. defensively they are ranked 67 and Baylor has shown the ability to score points. I expect this one to get weird and be closer than people think.
