Hamler Time

KJ Hamler has been one of the most electrifying players in all of college football this season; and he might also be the fastest. In addition to to the pass game, Hamler has made contributions in both the run and return game, accounting for 637 total yards and five touchdowns. Hamler is a big play type of player, averaging over 16 yards every time he touches the ball, whether it be a catch, a carry, or a return. And after his two big plays against Ohio State, a 93-yard touchdown catch and 36-yard catch on a crucial third down, Hamler has become a household name in college football.

Hamler’s playmaking ability is similar to that of Kansas City Chief’s wide receiver, Tyreek Hill. And during the month of October, Hamler’s skill set will be on full display. By the month’s end, Hamler will have surpassed 1,000 all-purpose yards mark, and scored enough touchdowns to get him into double digits on the season.

KJ Hamler has been the big play receiver Penn State has been looking for, and with Hamler only a freshman, their offense looks to only get better in the coming years. And with these kindsof numbers, the Paul Hornung Award could be returning to Happy Valley.
