42. . EDGE. Ohio State Buckeyes. Nick Bosa. 2. player

The 49ers need a pass rusher, and Bosa certainly fits the bill. Stepping into the same role his brother had for the Buckeyes, Nick Bosa has been the leader of the Ohio State defense the past two seasons.

He is currently sidelined with a core injury, but he has made his presence felt early in the season. In Week 1 he recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown and picked up a sack in a convincing win over the Oregon State Beavers.

The 49ers passing defense is a mess, heading into Sunday’s slate of games ranked 19th in passing yards allowed and 26th in points per game allowed.

Bosa will bring the ability to rush the passer regardless of who is blocking him, and the ability to run sideline to sideline and stop the opposing running backs from getting to the edge. If Bosa somehow falls into the Niners lap, expect a quick call to the commissioner.
