2019 NFL Mock Draft: Projecting the first round after Week 6
You can flip-flop either of the next two picks. The Jets need a quality pass rusher, and Clelin Ferrell is one of the best in the country at getting to the quarterback. The All-American has been a full-time starter each of the last two seasons and has racked up amazing numbers.
As a sophomore, he started all 14 games and finished with 44 tackles and six sacks. He followed that up with another great junior season as he played in all 14 games and posted 66 tackles with 18 tackles for a loss and nine and a half sacks.
Ferrell has started this season off strong too, as he has six sacks in six games and is well on his way to surpass his 2017 numbers.
The Jets have their quarterback of the future in Sam Darnold, and Todd Bowles could use the edge rusher to wreak havoc on a division that could be the Jets for the taking in a year or two.
