All Oklahoma State fans, coaches and players asked of Taylor Cornelius was that he replace the legendary Mason Rudolph. No big deal, right?

For Cornelius, it hasn’t been, as the senior has led the Cowboys to a 4-2 record. They were stunned at home by Iowa State this past weekend, but if you remember, the Cyclones also upset Oklahoma and Baker Mayfield last year on the road.

Cornelius did his part, throwing for 289 yards and four touchdowns vs. Iowa State. He did struggle by completing just 19 of 33, but added a season-high 46 yards rushing.

Cornelius’ best game was his showing vs. Kansas in a 48-28 victory, as he completed 15 of 20 for 312 yards with four touchdowns. For the season, he has 1,830 yards and 16 touchdowns with six interceptions.
