I’m nervous about still having TCU this high, but I don’t trust Iowa State or Texas Tech enough to put them here, so TCU it is. The Horned Frogs were off this week, and face off with Texas Tech next week. If they can win that game, and one of the three teams ahead of them lose (I think West Virginia definitely could), the Horned Frogs will be right back into the top three despite their shaky start to the year.

Well that was fun! Not for Oklahoma of course. For Oklahoma it was miserable. But for everybody else it was fun! Oklahoma was bodied by Texas for 45 minutes, and despite their frantic, incredible comeback in the fourth quarter, their one weakness once again hurt them late, and led to the game winning Texas field goal.

That weakness, of course, is the entire defense. Texas doesn’t have a particularly great offense, and Sam Ehlinger just gashed Oklahoma’s defense so bad that they fired their defensive coordinator less than 48 hours later.
