Thursday night

Texas Tech at TCU, 7:30 p.m. EST, ESPN

This is a legitimate battle between two pretty solid Big 12 teams, and it’s happening… during the week? Is it true? Is this a real, actual good game happening during the week? For pretty much the first time all season, there’s a game with actual meaning to watch during the week, and it should be an awesome one. Texas Tech’s offense should be a great test for TCU’s defense, and the winner gets to remain a contender for the Big 12 title, while the other likely falls out of the race.

One sentence sell: What else are you going to be doing on a Thursday night?

Friday night

Air Force at San Diego State, 9:00 p.m. EST, CBSSN

This is a high-quality late Friday night game. Maybe go out for some dinner, get out on the town a little bit, and then come home and flip on a game that may not hit 30 total points. Air Force isn’t particularly good, but they just crushed Navy, and their offense is fun to watch. San Diego State looks like a legit MWC championship contender, again, and they’re worth watching whenever you get the chance because they’re really good.

One sentence sell: This is a pretty interesting matchup in a conference filled with fun teams, what more could you want on a Friday night?
