After falling to Florida, LSU football shocked the world and knocked off No. 2 Georgia in a big way, 36-16. What did we learn from this one?

LSU and Georgia, a cross divisional rivalry that is always fun to watch. However, this year it was really only fun for one fan base and they were wearing Purple and Gold. Georgia didn’t blow a lead or fumble this game away, they were simply outplayed from the first snap to the last.

When you are playing a team that recently lost to a team you have to play later in the season, you kinda don’t want to lose to them. Georgia didn’t know that apparently as they let LSU run all over them while they still have to play Florida later in the season, a game that could put everything on the line in the East for the Bulldogs.

Let’s start with takeaways shall we?

3. LSU is the SEC’s biggest mystery

The LSU Tigers may be the most confusing team in the SEC right now. They have gone from beating Miami and Auburn to losing to Florida to beating No. 2 Georgia. How are we supposed to know what to make of this team, where to rank this team in terms of the rest of the SEC?

They have strong players on both sides of the ball that could easily compete with anyone in the country. However, they lack consistency and sometimes that “it” factor that really makes a championship team who they are.

My takeaway? We won’t really know what to make of this LSU team until the end of the season. This team is a confusing mess who can’t decide how good they want to be.
