Justin Herbert. 2. player. 31. . QB. Oregon

The New York Giants are once again at the top of the NFL Draft, and this year they finally find a replacement for soon-to-be 38-year-old Eli Manning: Oregon’s Justin Herbert.

Herbert’s never played more than eight games in any single season as a Duck, but will likely change that this in 2018. However, he’s consistently improved his completion percentage, yards-per-attempt average, and quarterback rating every year since stepping foot on campus in Eugene.

He combined for 21 touchdowns in the air and on the ground as a freshman and followed that up with another 20 in 2017. Herbert is a project, but he’s progressed in categories all across the board year-after-year, making him an obvious candidate to groom as Manning’s successor.

The Giants opted to draft a running back at No. 2 last year, but will most likely be in search of a young, new signal-caller. Star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. would certainly welcome a quarterback who can and will take shots deep.
