16. . WR. Ole Miss. A.J. Brown. 3. player

The Buffalo Bills never really do what you’re expecting them to during draft season. From E.J. Manuel to Josh Allen, they’re a bit of a guessing machine. That’s why Ole Miss’ A.J. Brown will be their first-round pick in 2019.

While the Bills aren’t by any means “set” on defense, giving 2018 first round pick Allen a weapon of Brown’s caliber on the outside would surely boost Buffalo’s offense. Sammy Watkins is long-gone, and Shady McCoy won’t be around forever. Is Kelvin Benjamin in the Bills’ long-term plans? Is Zay Jones a true No. 1 wide receiver?

If the Bills answer to any of the above questions is no, Brown could be a perfect fit in Buffalo. He’s got good size at 6-foot-1, plus he’s faced some stiff competition in the SEC. Brown’s sophomore year for the Rebels really elevated his name in the draft conversation.

In 2017, Brown caught 75 passes for over 1,200 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. This season-long performance earned him a number of All America honors, including from Phil Steele and the Associated Press. He was also dubbed first-team All-SEC by the league’s coaches. An addition like Brown for the Bills would go a long way in Allen’s development as a starting quarterback.
