. CB. LSU. Greedy Williams. 8. player. 53

The Cleveland Browns surprised a lot of people in 2018 by selecting Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield No. 1 overall, but he’s given the city a boost of energy and an excitement surrounding the quarterback position they’ve lacked in Cleveland for a long time. Another exciting pick is underway, with the Browns selecting LSU defender Andraez “Greedy” Williams with the seventh overall pick.

Williams is a lock-down cornerback – with arguably the greatest nickname in sports – who should immediately see playing time for the up-and-coming Browns. At 6-foot-2, Williams is big enough to compete with the A.J. Greens of the world, but competitive enough to desire matchups with the Antonio Browns, as well.

Adding a star like Williams to an already budding defense – led by Myles Garrett‘s pass rush – should strike fear in every team in not only the AFC North, but the AFC as a whole. He led the SEC in interceptions in 2017.

Williams possesses tremendous ball skills, carrying on a tradition at LSU that has dubbed the program “DBU” for the high number of great defensive backs they send to the NFL. He accounted for 10 pass deflections in 2017, and also intercepted six passes.
