We are midway through the 2018 college football season with most programs having played at least six games. Here are a best of the best of Big 12 football.

It’s midseason with all Big 12 conference teams playing at least six games and at least three of those games coming in conference. We now have a good gauge of how good or bad the teams are and can make some predictions on where they may end up at the end of the season.

At the midpoint, there are no undefeated teams left however Texas is unblemished in four conference games. Oklahoma, West Virginia and Texas Tech all have one loss in conference play with the Red Raiders having an additional loss in non-conference play. Remember the Big 12 does not have divisions and the top two teams in the conference make the Big 12 championship game in Arlington. The conference title chase should be a wild race to the finish.

Texas and Oklahoma delivered what was the conference’s best game thus far. The game may have been a championship game preview. For some other awards and superlatives, let us look at some of the best players on both sides of the ball, a surprise team and the playoff contenders left in the conference.
