The Orange had a bye this week and after losing two straight they will look to turn things around against the Tar Heels in the Carrier Dome. Their offense started off red-hot this season scoring 50 or more points in three of the first four games but has cooled off since the ACC schedule has gotten into full swing. Orange fans hope the bye week helped them figure things out on both sides of the ball.

With their loss to Virginia this past weekend Miami has pretty much taken themselves out of the College Football Playoff. Had they ran the table and defeated Clemson in the ACC title game there lone loss to LSU wouldn’t look so bad with how good the Tigers are playing. They will have the bye week to figure some things out on the offensive side of the ball, especially at quarterback before traveling to face Boston College in Week 9.

Don’t be fooled by Duke’s 5-1 record. They haven’t played anyone of note, and their biggest when is arguably over Northwestern in Week 2. Their next three games will decide if they stay near the top of our rankings as they face Virginia, travel to Pittsburgh, then travel to Miami. If Duke comes out of that 3-0 then it is clear they will be a contender in the conference.
