South Florida has flown by the seat of their pants for much of the 2018 season to date. The Bulls eked out another comeback victory on Friday night, as they pulled back a 24-10 deficit in the fourth quarter against the Golden Hurricane to prevail 25-24 in Tulsa. With the win, the Bulls remained one of three undefeated AAC East teams and one of three teams still perfect within the entire Group of Five.

Blake Barnett struggled to get much done in the air against Tulsa’s secondary, finishing 17-of-39 on the night. Barnett did throw for 237 yards on his 17 completions, but he threw an interception and failed to notch a passing touchdown. Barnett, though, did rack up two rushing scores to complement a 151-yard day by running back Jordan Cronkrite.

Among the three AAC East teams with unbeaten records, South Florida still looks like the most susceptible to a fall. And in the scheme of the Group of Five Power Rankings, they fell a few spots this week both because of yet another close call as well as the more decisive results around the rest of the country.
