The Nittany Lions also played themselves out of playoff contention this past weekend.  Their upset loss to Michigan State has the Nittany Lions reeling with a two-game losing streak, and they will look to right the ship this weekend.

Trace McSorley and the Nittany Lions struggled to move the ball against the Spartans and he easily had his worst performance of the season for the second straight game (both losses). He finished the game 19-for-32 with 192 yards passing and a touchdown.

He couldn’t get anything going running the ball as he had 13 carries for just 37 yards. Penn State goes as far as McSorley can take them and if he is not throwing the ball efficiently they will have a hard time winning games.

Next up is a game Indiana and if Penn State doesn’t play up to their talent level they could be looking at three losses in a row.
