1. Harbaugh finally beats Michigan State when it matters

Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh is 34-12 in his three-and-a-half seasons at the helm of the Wolverines’ program, but has been utterly disappointing in games that matter. Against their two biggest rivals – Michigan State and Ohio State – Harbaugh is a whopping 1-5, with their only win coming against the Spartans in 2016. Michigan was the No. 2 team in the country.

Twice have the Spartans spoiled the Wolverines’ season, winning in 2015 when Michigan was No. 12 in the country, and again in 2017 when UM was No. 7. This time around, the Wolverines will get the job done, keeping their CFP hopes alive.

Michigan has one of the country’s best defenses, but also a capable signal-caller under center. Harbaugh was portrayed as this great quarterback-whisperer, but has failed to develop any young quarterbacks. Thankfully, Ole Miss-transfer Shea Patterson has bailed him out and will lead the Wolverines to victory on Saturday.
