3. Guess who’s got another running back?

There are three guarantees in life: death, taxes, and the Oklahoma Sooners fielding great running backs. With the loss of Rodney Anderson earlier this season, the Sooners have been deploying a running back-by-committee approach, with the help of signal-caller Kyler Murray, of course.

Kennedy Brooks seems to have emerged as the Sooners’ No. 1 option against TCU. He amassed 168 yards on 18 rushes, a whopping 9.3 yards-per-carry average; he added one rushing score and two catches for eight yards.

This isn’t to say he’ll be the only Sooner running back getting touches, as Trey Sermon rumbled for 110 yards and two scores of his own, but Brooks seemed to give the Sooners offense just a little more juice, more swag. One thing it certainly added was a tougher running style from Sermon. Anytime Brooks was getting things going and needed a rest, Sermon had a pep in his step, if you will, and gashed the Horned Frogs defense.
