1. Ty Jones needs to realize his full potential

Washington has lost at least one standout wide receiver that was the bulk of the threat in the passing game for each of the past two seasons. It was truly a mystery who would step up as the primary target in the passing game for Browning this season. That still remains somewhat of a mystery eight games into the 2018 campaign.

Although, the two candidates that have stepped to the forefront are junior wide receiver Aaron Fuller and sophomore Ty Jones. By a good margin, Fuller leads the Huskies in receiving yards and Jones leads in touchdowns. Fuller now has more than 600 receiving yards after this outing against Colorado.

Jones had a few opportunities to break few, but had a tough time converting on any of them. At 6-foot-4 and with his level of raw athleticism, Washington football fans have to be chomping at the bit for Jones to reach his ceiling soon. He’s playing at a higher level now already than he did as a true freshman. But, we’d still like to see more out of him.

All in all, the play that was potentially the game-sealing score for Washington football came from Fuller on a nice pass from Browning with less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter. The raw talent from Jones is present for the Huskies week after week and the team is just going to have to be patient with him.
