Wisconsin rebounded from last week’s 38-13 loss to Michigan by running through the perennial Big Ten cellar-dweller Illinois. With snow coming down hard in Camp-Randall, the Badgers leaned on their ground game and got 100-yard rushing days from both Jonathan Taylor and Taiwan Deal, who paced a Wisconsin ground attack that ran for 357 yards.

Concerning, again, for the Badgers is the play of their quarterback Alex Hornibrook. The junior signal-caller had three touchdown passes on 13/22 completions, but also threw two more interceptions for the second week in a row.

Wisconsin may still be the class of the Big Ten West, but if they want to seriously threaten Ohio State or Michigan in a potential Big Ten Title game matchup, they will need more consistent play from their quarterback.

The Badgers travel to Evanston next week to battle Northwestern in what is a surprisingly big game for the divisional title race.
