What impact Arkansas had on Kelly Bryant

The issue for Arkansas football this fall is that it’s not really going to overwhelm any potential high school or transfer prospects with the play on the field. A team that is just winning its first game against an FBS opponent more than halfway into the 2018 campaign obviously has some issues to iron out the rest of the way.

However, Bryant landing with the Razorbacks might be the perfect storm for this program. Bryant is a quarterback with College Football Playoff experience coming from a program like Clemson that the Arkansas head coach also has ties. That winning culture could have an impact on the Arkansas locker room in a positive way.

And, you get the feeling that Noland is not ready to take hold of the starting job quite yet. Noland is a very talented former four-star pro-style quarterback signee in the 2018 class for Arkansas. Yet, he has some growth to go through still and sitting behind a quarterback that would come in with a pedigree like Bryant’s would be great for him.

The fact of the matter is for this visit that Arkansas came away with a home victory with potentially its quarterback answer for the 2019 season in attendance. That has to be a win in the book of any Arkansas football fan. A few more wins to round out a slow start to the 2018 season would be a high note for this team to go out on.
