Because TCU isn’t very good, I can’t justify moving Oklahoma up this week, no matter how much I’d like to. I think Oklahoma is better than Texas overall, and that will likely be proven as the season goes on, but at this point, Texas has earned that top spot. Focusing back on the Oklahoma-TCU game, there really wasn’t too much to take away. The offense was still awesome, the defense wasn’t great but it wasn’t terrible either.

Where does Oklahoma finish: 1. Oklahoma is still probably the best team in the conference, and they should prove that by winning out. I think Texas slips up twice between now and the end of the season, moving OKlahoma back into number one, and pushing West Virginia up to their main competition.

Texas was on a bye week, and like I said, I just can’t justify dropping them until they lose.

Where does Texas finish: 4. Losses to Iowa State and West Virginia give Texas a 9-3 finish. Given the way this season started, that probably feels like a disappointment, but given where this program has been, it’s a huge accomplishment. This offense isn’t elite yet, and that’s fine. Give Tom Herman the time, and I think they’ll be contending very soon. Just maybe not this year.
