Not many look to Iowa for quarterbacks ready to play in the NFL, but if CJ Beathard has taught us anything, it is possible. The next pro-style quarterback to depart Iowa City for the league will be Nate Stanley.

At 6-foot-4 and over 240 pounds, Stanley has excellent size to hold tough in the pocket. He has improved his completion percentage to a career-high 61 percent this year, along with pushing his yards per attempt average to eight.

Stanley played in five games his freshman season, throwing for 62 yards. He was given the keys to the offense last year, stepping in and throwing for 2,432 yards with 26 touchdowns and just six picks.

Through seven games this year, Stanley has the Hawkeyes among the list of contenders for the Big Ten title thanks to 16 passing scores and 1,559 yards on 61 percent completions.
