Like many elite quarterback prospects of the past 20 years, Will Grier started out his college career at Florida. He played in six games back in 2015, throwing for 1,202 yards with 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Issues, though, led to Grier leaving the school and enrolling at West Virginia.

Since, the 6-foot-2 quarterback has shined in the Mountaineer offense, throwing for 3,490 yards with 34 touchdowns last year. Through six games this season, Grier has completed over 71 percent of his throws for 1,919 yards with 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

A tough loss to Iowa State recently on the road served as a speed bump in the Heisman campaign for Grier, but West Virginia has some marquee games remaining on the docket and could ultimately play for the conference title.

Grier started his senior season with five consecutive games of at least 332 yards passing and three touchdowns. That included a 25-for-34, 429-yard, five-touchdown showing in the opener vs. Tennessee.
