Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic – Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs Clemson Tigers

The last time these two met the game was decided by a two-point conversion.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish were on a bye week in Week 8 as they head into the final stretch of the season. The five remaining opponents for the Irish consist of Navy, Northwestern Florida State, Syracuse and USC. All five game should be wins, making a spot in the College Football Playoff their’s to lose.

Outside of Alabama, the Fighting Irish have been the most impressive team this season. Notre Dames has all the big wins they need to make the playoff but can’t afford a slip up in the final weeks of the season.

The Clemson Tigers were thought to be on upset alert by many as they took on the NC State Wolfpack ion Saturday. But the Tigers silenced all of those involved of such talks and put the college football world on notice with a decisive 41-7 victory.

The combination of Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne is one of the best quarterback-running back duos in the nation. And with their top ranked defense, Clemson is a clear favorite to make the College Football Playoff. The Tigers don’t have any tests until the ACC Championship game, can they survive their final games without a loss, or will destiny not be on their side?
