Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl – West Virginia Mountaineers vs UCF Knights

Points…lots and lots of points.

The UCF Knights have a legit shot at making the College Football Playoff this season, but for now, they remain in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, their home for all of this season’s New Year’s Six projections. The Knights are off this week but then finish the season with Temple, Cincinnati and USF in three of their final four games. All three teams can propose a problem to the Knight’s playoff hopes. But with a crowded group of one and two loss Power Five teams, a loss along the way could have the Knights on the outside, looking in of a NY6 Bowl.

The West Virginia Mountaineers have found their way back in to our projections, even though they were on a bye week. But the Mountaineers still have a good chance at making a NY6 Bowl, winning their conference and even making the playoff. With games against Texas and Oklahoma, and potentially a rematch against one of them in the Big 12 Championship game, West Virginia have everything they need to get back into playoff contention. And with Will Grier at quarterback, the Mountaineers have a chance to win in every game.
